Dare to Prepare

An interactive driving workshop for pre-permit teens and their parents

Motor vehicle crashes are the No. 1 cause of death among U.S. teens.1 Additionally, teen drivers have crash rates 3 times higher per mile driven than drivers age 20 and older.2 Education can help prevent such teen driving deaths and injuries. The Auto Club is committed to helping parents and teens navigate the learning-to-drive process by providing the critical information they need to know before teens take the wheel. This free interactive workshop provides resources and walks pre-permit teens (ages 14-15) and their parents through many important driving topics, including:

  • The California Graduated Driver Licensing components
  • The risks and responsibilities of driving
  • The parent's role in the learning process
  • How to pick a safe vehicle
  • What to look for in a driving school

Due to space limitations and program popularity, we cannot guarantee a spot for all pre-registered attendees. In the event the class you have pre-registered for is at capacity, we will notify you of alternative classes you can attend. You will be contacted prior to the event to confirm your attendance.
